As part of their ongoing consultation on the draft River Nene Catchment plan, RNRP are holding a number of open public consultation days to increase awareness of our water environments and get peoples views on how to tackle these important issues.
This is an opportunity for people to contribute to the future of our vitally important rivers by suggesting projects, identifying problems or finding out how they can get involved in improving their local areas with support from the partnership. The Nene and its tributaries provide essential services including the water we drink, irrigation for our food, habitats for wildlife and places to enjoy and play. But it can only provide these in the future if people understand the challenges.
The open days feature displays and information with staff on-hand to answer any queries. There will be information about local sites provided by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire together with activities for young children including colouring, mask making and building bug homes. There will be free tea, coffee and biscuits.
