WELCOME TO THE EAST MIDLANDS GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE SKILLS PROGRAMME AREA

back to the home page (GIN Website) >>>

emda and environmental partners held a series of events in five different areas to provide specialist support and mentoring for District Councils and other hard to reach authorities in the East Midlands. These are authorities who currently have no GI support. This series also aimed to ensure delivery of Green Infrastructure with both regional and local governmental and non governmental organisations.

At each event, the morning seminar provided an overview of Green Infrastructure in the East Midlands. Strategy, policies and presentations were based around exemplary projects and local GI case Studies, relevant to the area. The afternoon presentations covered key issues affecting the sub-region, partnership working and governance with training workshops covering GI tools (Landscape Characterisation ECA&GI), EMDA's new toolkit and other ranges available. There was an opportunity to network with colleagues to discuss GI partnership working and an introduction to the new website area.

This area will be updated with all information, documents, case studies and details of activity that is being generated through this programme, so please revisit regularly.
