SUSTAINABLE CITIES, NEW WEBSITE AIMED AT LOCAL AUTHORITIES FROM CABE Sustainable Cities provides "Help from CABE for people in local authorities working to create better places." The site includes a section on Green Infrastructure which decribe it as ".....the network of green (and blue) elements in and around urban areas. This includes public and private spaces, such as parks, gardens, allotments, cemeteries, trees, green roofs and natural landscape features such as woodland, grassland, moors and wetlands." and states that, "With good planning and design, these green assets can help cities to cope with some of the extreme effects of climate change." | GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE GUIDE FOR THE EAST MIDLANDS
The Guide, commissioned by EMRA and developed by RNRP and other regional partners aims to assist local delivery vehicles, local authorities and community based initiatives at local and sub regional level and around the UK. Building on the 2005 'East Midlands Green Infrastructure Scoping Study' and the subsequent 'Green Infrastructure for the East Midlands A Public Benefit Mapping Project' studies, the Guide incorpoarates numerous innovative Case Studies from around the region that demonstrate models for effective GI. River Nene Regional Park document suite

The River Nene Regional Park is an independent Community Interest Company creating a green infrastructure network of environmental projects extending from Daventry to Peterborough linking the towns of Northampton, Towcester, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. Since the inception of the River Nene Regional Park in 2004 approximately twelve million pounds has been secured for ongoing investment in this area. The River Nene Regional Park team and partners have produced a series of documents to celebrate the work to date and promote the future initiatives. The document suite includes information on the delivery of a Green Infrastructure framework, Climate Change, the Regional Parc concept and River Nene Regional Park.
