BREATHING SPACES - MID NENE VALLEY This project aims to bring a section of the Nene Valley between Wellingborough and Summer Leys nature reserve into good environmental management. Areas of former gravel extraction will be bought, and good land management of these areas will take place by working with the Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust and local farmers. The project will also involve the construction of a ‘greenway’ – a path open to walkers and cyclists that provides a link from Wellingborough Embankment car park through to Summer Leys nature reserve, along a disused railway line.
