The Stakeholder Steering Group (SSG) was formed to assist the River Nene Regional Park (RNRP) in ensuring coordinated delivery of green infrastructure through partnership and collaboration. They played a vital role in determining the vision of RNRP, ensuring integration of environmental, social and economic aspirations and in the provision of expert advise.
The SSG was the beginning of RNRPs Partnership Working and its successes have resulted in cementing this approach at the core of our operations. RNRP are now active members of several important regional partnerships including the Local Nature Partnership, Destination Nene Valley, the Nene Valley Catchment Partnership and the Heritage Lottery funded Nenescape Landscape Partnership.
There is overlap in the membership of these partnerships with the SSG and they are, to a greater or lesser extent, now fulfilling the role of the SSG in shaping our direction and focus. For this reason the RNRP Board ratified the decision of the SSG to dissolve in September 2016.
The Board and Staff at RNRP would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the Members of the SSG and our aspirations to continue working with all of you as we move forward.
