    A partnership of local authorities and environmental organisations commissioned a Green Infrastructure Strategy for the 6Cs Growth Point in the East Midlands. The Strategy's long term vision is to protect, enhance and extend networks of green spaces and natural elements in and around the three cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, connecting with their surrounding towns and villages. The work of the 6Cs Strategic GI Project Board has now substantially come to an end and the website is held by the National Archives where all information from the project is available. In particular The Achievement Review (July 2012) can be found here, which summarises the background to the project, the work carried out over the period 2006-2012 and the lessons learned during the lifetime of the project.
