Nenescape launches new mooring on River Nene


A new £300k mooring was officially opened at The Chester House Estate at Irchester, near Wellingborough on Friday 10th June by the Nenescape Landscape Partnership.

The Countryside Stewardship Water Capital Grants for 2015 Are Now Open


The Countryside Stewardship Water Capital Grants 2015 are now open. Due to the targeted nature of the scheme this information is not being emailed to customers, information and guidancehas been published on GOV.UK. Grants on a range of capital items are available for farm infrastructure improvements to reduce water pollution from agriculture. The maximum grant payable is £10,000. The grants are available to farmers in CSF target areas only.

Christopher Davidge


It is with great sadness that we announce the unfortunate loss of our Chairman Christopher Davidge. Christopher played a key role in setting up the company in 2007 and remained our Chairman until his passing in December 2014.

Nature Improvement Areas are boosting wildlife, communities and economy.


WILDLIFE, communities and local economies are reaping the benefits of England's new Nature Improvement Areas, according to a report published on the 14th November.

The Nene Valley is one of these twelve Nature Improvement Areas (NIAs) set up by the government in 2012, which have helped farmers to access EU grants, made valuable contributions towards university research and boosted the £210 billion rural economy.

They've also attracted outside investment – more than £730,000 from business partners and £7.8 million from NGOs and not-for-profit organisations.

Treezilla - The Monster Map of Trees


Treezilla is an exciting new platform for citizen science that everyone from school children to university students and the general public can get involved with.

The idea is to map every tree in Britain.

This will create a data-rich platform on which a wide range of citizen science investigations can be built.

The Big Draw 'It's Our World' Event


The Big Draw is holding an event alongside the River Nene in Peterborough.

On 1st November over 2500 drawings done by the local community will be connecting the Wildlife Trust Woodston Ponds, Railworld & the Wildlife Haven and the Green Backyard with drawings to celebrate 'It's Our World' the theme of this year's The Big Draw.
