RSPB Homes for Birds and Bats, Top Lodge
30 Jun 2009
Within the redevelopment of Top Lodge at Fineshades Woods, the RSPB have opened a shop which sells a wide range of products. In the shop there is also a television screen for the visitors to watch Red Kite on the nest at suitable times of the year.
The RSPB also provides educational trainers to accommodate school visits.
To facilitate these, RNRP had provided a grant to produce a wildlife friendly garden where schoolchildren and visitors will be able to see wildlife close up- and a snapshot of what is to be found in the woods. They should be able to see a wide range of species including, butterflies, day flying moths, bees, dragonflies, squirrels and birds.
Many of the RSPB's volunteers have contributed time and skills to help build this exciting and useful garden.
