An important hedgerow which is a parish boundary and also edges Wollaston meadows SSSI needed a large amount of work on it to restore it to its former glory.
At one end of that hedge was an old pond which had become completely silted up once again this needed restoring.
The hedgerows along the A509 were also in very poor condition, having been damaged by vehicles and set on fire by vandals. All these are being restored with this grant as well as planting a new section of hedgerow alongside an old green lane. This is an important site with a SSSI and SAM both within the area being restored.
