Nenescape launches new mooring on River Nene
A new £300k mooring was officially opened at The Chester House Estate at Irchester, near Wellingborough on Friday 10th June by the Nenescape Landscape Partnership.
November has been a busy month for the RNRP Team attending numerous Awards Ceremonies to collect titles that RNRP projects had been shortlisted for!
Following the commendation awarded by the East Midlands Royal Town Planning Institute to the Environmental Character and Green Infrastructure Suite in October, the Suite was also Highly Commended at the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) Awards.
The Awards Dinner took place at the Thistle, Marble Arch on Thursday 22nd November, and RNRP received the Commendation in the Innovation and Best Practice (Local Government) Category.

The Suite received further accolade from the Landscape Institute winning the Strategic Landscape Planning Category and Commended in the Landscape Policy Category.
This Awards Lunch, hosted by Channel 4 News Presenter Krishnan Guru- Murthy took place at The Brewery, London on 29th November. The Salcey Forest Treetop Walkway also received a Commendation in the Institute's coveted Design 1-5 ha Award. Winner of this category was Sheffield City Council's Gold Route which won in a number of other areas, and was also awarded the President's prize. Notably, Milton Keynes received the Peter Youngman Award for its innovation and success and for its outstanding contribution to landscape in its forty year existence.
The River Nene Regional Park Team also attended the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards Ceremony, as reported in the Business section of the Chronicle & Echo last week. This took place on Wednesday 21st November at Hangar One, Sywell, where the RNRP won the Environment Award.
